DocuEasy

Phantom Tech Solutions (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates DocuEasy (the “Application”), an offline-first document and file utility application available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Application.

DocuEasy is designed to process your files locally on your device. We do not upload your documents, photos, videos, or other personal files to our servers for processing. Our Application relies on several Google services for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and feedback submission, as described in this policy.

By using DocuEasy, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application.

DocuEasy requests certain device permissions to provide its functionality. Permissions are requested only when the relevant feature is used, and you may deny or revoke them through your device settings. Denying a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working.

• CameraUsed for QR code scanning and document scanning via Google ML Kit. No images or video are recorded without your active action.
• NotificationsUsed to display progress notifications during long-running foreground service tasks such as video compression.
• Foreground ServiceAllows the Application to run long-lasting operations (e.g., video compression) even when you switch to another app. A persistent notification is shown while the service is active.
• Media & FilesImages, videos, and documents are chosen by you through the Android system picker (SAF / photo picker). The Application does not request any media storage permission and never accesses files you have not selected.
• InternetRequired for loading advertisements via Google AdMob, sending anonymous analytics to Firebase, submitting crash reports to Firebase Crashlytics, submitting optional feedback, checking for updates, and interacting with Google Play Services.
• Network StateUsed to check network availability before performing online features such as loading ads or submitting feedback.
• Legacy Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)Present only for compatibility with older Android versions (API 28 and below). On modern Android versions (API 29+), the Application uses scoped storage and does not require this permission.

3.1 Information We Do Not Collect

DocuEasy is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect:

• Your name, phone number, contacts, or address
• Passwords or login credentials
• Personal files, photos, videos, or documents (these remain on your device)
• Precise location data
• Microphone or SMS data

Your files are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

3.2 Anonymous Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We use Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to collect anonymous usage data that helps us improve the Application. This information does not identify you personally. Examples include:

3.3 Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect diagnostic information when the Application encounters an error or crash. This information helps us identify and fix bugs. It may include:

• Crash stack traces and error logs
• Device model, Android version, and app version
• Device state (free memory, disk space, orientation)
• Timestamps of crashes

Crashlytics reports do not contain personal information such as your name, email, or file contents.

3.4 Feedback You Voluntarily Submit

The Application includes an optional feedback form. If you choose to submit feedback, we collect:

• A star rating (1–5)
• A feedback category (e.g., Bug Report, Feature Request)
• Your written message
• An email address (optional — you are not required to provide it)

Feedback is stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore and is used solely to improve the Application. You may request deletion of your feedback at any time by contacting us at the email address below.

DocuEasy displays advertisements using Google AdMob. AdMob is an advertising platform provided by Google that may use advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and other technical information to serve ads that are relevant to you.

Depending on your location and applicable laws, ads may be personalised or non-personalised. Where required by law, we use Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your consent choices at any time through your device settings or the consent dialogue presented by the Application.

We, the developer, do not directly access or store advertising identifiers. All advertising data is handled according to Google’s Privacy Policy, and you should review that policy for more details about how Google uses data for advertising purposes.

DocuEasy integrates with the following third-party services. Many of these libraries operate entirely on-device and do not transmit your personal files. Where data is transmitted, it is anonymous or pseudonymous technical data as described below.

• Google Play Services Provides core device functionality, app updates, and integration with Google services. Privacy Policy
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) Serves advertisements within the Application. May collect advertising identifiers and device information. Privacy Policy
• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) Manages user consent for personalised advertising where required by applicable privacy laws.
• Firebase Analytics Collects anonymous usage statistics to help us improve the Application. Privacy Policy
• Firebase Crashlytics Reports crash and error diagnostics to help us fix bugs. Privacy Policy
• Firebase Core Initializes and manages the Firebase SDK within the Application.
• Cloud Firestore Stores feedback submissions that you voluntarily send through the in-app feedback form.
• Google Play In-App Review Prompts you to rate the Application on the Google Play Store. No personal data is collected by this feature.
• Google ML Kit Document Scanner Provides on-device document scanning capabilities using your device’s camera. All scanning is performed locally on your device.
• PdfBox-Android A native library for PDF compression and merging. Operates entirely on-device.
• Libraries for file processing Additional Dart and native libraries (including image, pdf, archive, xml, flutter_pdfview, docx_file_viewer, qr_flutter, mobile_scanner, file_picker, package_info_plus, shared_preferences, and path_provider) perform operations such as image compression, PDF generation, file viewing, QR code generation/scanning, and local data storage. All these libraries operate on-device and do not transmit your personal files.

DocuEasy is a general-purpose utility application. It is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us so that we can delete the information.

We implement reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect the information handled through the Application. Because most processing occurs locally on your device, the vast majority of your data never leaves your device.

Information transmitted to third-party services (analytics, crash reports, and optional feedback) is transmitted using industry-standard encryption where supported by the underlying platform.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We retain the information we collect only as long as reasonably necessary. Specifically:

• Feedback submissions are retained until we have addressed your inquiry or until you request deletion.
• Analytics data collected by Firebase Analytics is retained in accordance with Google’s data retention policies. You can learn more at the Firebase Privacy Policy.
• Crash reports collected by Firebase Crashlytics are retained as described in Google’s privacy documentation.

No personal files, documents, photos, or videos are retained by us because they are not uploaded to our servers.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your information:

• Access: Request information about what data we hold about you.
• Deletion: Request deletion of feedback you have submitted through the Application. Please note that we cannot delete data held by third-party services such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics, as those are governed by Google’s own policies.
• Inquiry: Ask questions about how your data is handled by contacting us at the email address below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
